Practical - Inner packaging and Stickers

Within the outer box, the inner contents require packaging too.
The whole premise of the brand rests on the ingredients being pre-portioned and there to make the meal as easy to prepare as possible for the consumer. As well as this, the food within needs to be packaged in itself, for longevity and to prevent contamination.

My idea to implement this within the packaging was instead of creating individual packets to contain the food, I created stickers for each item of food. These stickers include the name of the ingredient, as well as the amount of it (in ml, g, tsp etc.) to make the recipe as easy to follow as possible for the consumer.

The stickers for the inner packaging follow the same style as the sleeve. The swash shape is used again alongside the ingredients in the alphabet I created. The colour of the sticker depends on the contents of the packaging it sits on, I chose to use the paler of the 2 colours on each sleeves palette for the sauces/spices within the meal, and the darker colour for the other ingredients including the veg and meat and grains etc.

The stickers were printed and then cut out on the vinyl cutter - this works by creating an outline around the stickers and placing this on a separate layer, which the cutter registers and cuts along these lines.

Earlier in research I looked at longevity of food and keeping it fresh. I looked at aluminium pouches and how they keep meat fresh. I thought these pouches would be ideal to house the sauces that are needed within the meals. The sauces are necessary to the meals as they reduce the amount of ingredients within the kit and are the easiest for the consumer.
The stickers are stuck onto the pouches for users to easily identify which packet to reach for, and the pouches are easy to rip or cut to empty the liquid out.

The stickers are also applicable to the front of the meat package, as well as packets of the other ingredients, demonstrated on the front of a packet of green beans at the bottom.
