Practical - Box

For my packaging I have chosen to create a range of almost ready meals. I have chosen to design a box with a sleeve to wrap around the box as well as the inner packaging. This removes the need to design the cardboard box.

I had been struggling to figure out which size box I would need to package enough meat/veg/grains etc. for 2 people.
Initially, I looked at postage boxes which have a lid that folds over and is still connected to the box, as below.

However I realised I would need a bigger box to fit in all the ingredients for 2 people. For photgraphic purposes I repurposed a shoebox - the dimensions (L x W x H) are 300mm x 225mm x 100mm. This size fits in meals for 2 people including 2 portions of chicken, 4 portions of veg, 2 portions of grains/rice/potatoes, as well as sauces and spices, as evidenced below. Within the box there is still room for insulation/inner packaging.
